La Peña presents “Bones” an exhibition of artwork by Alejandro Goga. It runs from June 21 – August 4, 2006 at Las Manitas Avenue Café. The reception will be taking place Friday, July 7th from 6-8 pm.

Alejandro Goga is an artist originally from Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico and now resides in Houston, Texas. For his Arte de la Muerte, he says, “To die is as natural as being born.” This basic statement is the soul of Alejandro Goga’s art. Bones, skulls, and everything that refers to skeletons are the basic elements he uses to create his drawings and paintings. He expresses a reality that may be difficult for some to accept.
