Julian Orosco has always had a passion for art. He took many different art classes, including sculpture, drawing, and painting while he was growing up. Although he has had formal training, he believes the most important thing an artist must have comes within and having a connection with themselves. Orosco believes with seeing with his heart and soul, not just with his eyes. The visions he presents are derived from emotions within and expressed freely onto natural materials such as canvas and heavy cotton paper using materials such as oils, acrylics, automotive paint, charcoal, and conte crayon.
As the son of Mestizo parents, the Aztec and Mexican-Spanish European cultures are reflected in Orosco's work. Like many other people, he has multiple cultures and histories to consider when he thinks about who he is and what he is doing on this earth. His eternal inspiration comes from his family, especially from his father "Apa". He told him to never give up on his art. In memory of him, Julian paints his experiences in life and his culture.
